Paddy Graham and Kristoffer Turdell’s “Road to Riksgränsen”
What would you do if you could ski any hour of the day? In The Road to Riksgränsen, a new three-party series, Paddy Graham and Kristoffer Turdell make a trip up to the Arctic, chasing spring snow under 24-hour light.
The two freeride skiers travel throughout northern Sweden and Norway in May, going after remote lines and camping on the beach. They cap off their trip at the annual Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships, one of the longest standing freeride competitions that’s been held annually in May since 1992.
Riksgränsen, Sweden’s northernmost ski town, is where the trip begins and ends. It’s just two hours north of where Turdell grew up—where freeride skiers flock to in May as the rest of the season winds down.
